The guy (Jeff) that put the Tiger in the MD 500 bought the fuse and heli from us, yep it fits just fine, saw it all fitted before paint.
Plenty of room for scale cockpit details too because of the ECCPM, and tail servo mounted so far back in the frame.

Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

Pantera frame height is same as Tiger, so no problems on that score.

I tried sliding my Tiger into a Jet Ranger fuse (not sure of the manufacturer) that previously held my Raptor and it was too tall.

Has anyone successfully put a Tiger in a fuse other than the Century 500?

Hey Mike, do you have some pictures of that fuse?

Hey Guys,

Sorry but I haven't been online for a few days so I never saw the questions. The fuse was one of the cheap Helis and Hobbies Jet Rangers (I had to check with the previous owner) and was badly damaged in a crash so I only did a quick trial fit to see if it was possible.

The HH fuse is different from other fuses in that you mount the mechs in the front section and then slide the rear portion over the boom to mate up with the front section. If I remember correctly I could get the mechs in the front half but I could not get the rear section to line up correctly to mate up with it. In order for the two halves to line up I would of had to raise the mechandics in the front causing the frame to protrude thru the top of the doghouse. I did this test last summer and I think I may still have the fuse in my basement somewhere. If I can find it I'll try another test fit and give you a better description and possibly some pictures.

I love how the Tiger handles in slow flight so I think it would make a great platform for a scale project. Has anyone tried one of the Funkey/Century fuses (other than the 500) to see if this is a good match? Specifically the Long Ranger which is supposed to be a little taller (the Raptor fits without any modifications).

I've been told it fits the Bell 222 but I've not heard about the Long Ranger, sorry. I've also been told it fits the Jet Ranger, but this was the 30-class fuselage and the boom protruded several inches (as was to be expected). Pantera is the same height at the Tiger so I'd expect no changes in that regard.
