Is there a good way to put on the tail belt? I had a hard time getting mine on. Now after only 6 flights it is coming apart. Think I might have damaged it trying to put it on. Once I got the tail belt on it seemed like the tension was just right with just enough slack. Tail boom doesnt seem to have anymore room to go in more so I dont see how to get anymore slack to install without hurting the belt.

You should be able to get LOADS of slack provided the boom is pushed home in both the boom mount and the tail box.

Maybe you accidentally put an extra twist on it when installing it. That makes it shorter and will cause wear because of the dragging on itself.
