My Posts This: Topic Forum | The Bell-Hiller head makes the cyclic much more responsive. Some beginners like that increased responsiveness. Now the heli will immediately go exactly where you command it to go, even if that's not really where you want it to go. Personally, I think that's great for an experienced pilot, not so great for a beginner.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the stock head is stronger than the B-H head. If you have a crash with the stock head, sometimes the blade flips upside-down. Usually, no other major damage to the rotor head occurs, aside maybe from bent shafts and broken landing skids. With the B-H head, the blade can't flip upside-down w/o damage because it has a washout lever attached to it instead of just a ball link. So the entire lever just breaks off. Now you have to replace the entire main grip, which is kind of a pain.
