We were told by Century guys here on RR that it's coming and has a new head that could be upgraded to CP. I guess that means it's a FP.

Do you think the V3 can be upgraded to the V4?

In the past Century did offer such package. There were V1 to V2 upgrade kit, then there was V2 to V3 kit.

However. If I remembered correctly the V2 to V3 kit was $45. And an entire V3 ARF was $69. I would much prefer a whole new ARF kit and just move my electronics over for the price of a upgrade kit and a crash kit.

No, the current V3 can't not be converted to CP using Century parts. It can be done with other aftermarket parts, but I don't think it worth the money and trouble.

Will they arrive on time? I would put a big "?" on this one. When the last 2 birds (3D Pro and Swift) came out they were both delayed for a terrible long time and lost a lot of customer in the process. Both birds had a little problems too when they first came out. Good thing is Century has been supporting their customers well and got those problems taken care of.

My recommendation is buy a V3 RTF. Why? V3 is a proven bird. Very well received by many and it's the best beginner RC heli (model grade, not the toys) I can think of. Also if you buy it direct from Century they are now shipped with a new 6CH CP capable radio (I don't really like it, but it's good for the money and will do for beginners). If one day you want to move to a CP bird you can just transfer the electronics over to the new bird (you may need a 5-6Ch. Rx thou). Also Century sells their CP bird airframes at a very reasonable price. The Elite CP can be had for $85. So when you are ready just buy the V4 CP ARF kit (rumor says there will be one) and it should be priced even lower than the Elite CP.

do you know if it works whit other sim's beside the FMS like reflex,g3 and delux?.i saw it comes whit a trainer cord that allso acts as a conector betwin the redio and the pc for the FMS.i understand that its not a usb port, but a 9 pin one is that a problem?

Don't know if the Reflex will work with it. G3 comes with a Tx alike controller box. It should be in similar quality of the Lightning radio that comes with the RTF V3. SO I don't see the needs of using your radio for the G3.

My Century V3 Tx works fine with Reflex, you just need the correct cable and you will be ready to go.

As far as they know, I already had it!
