I'm using a Jazz 55-10-32 with a TPPacks conversion and the Actro 24-5 or the 24-4 will work. Hacker is suppose to have a new motor out any day that Gary says will be a good match for the TPPacks conversion.

Hi,

i use the Kohler Actro 24-4 Heli with the TPPacks conversion Kit with the Raptor 30 Gear-set and 2 5-Cell Tanic-Packs with a Jazz 55-10-32.
The raptor 50 V2 flys great with verry good power 12 Min. and the 3,95 kg are o.K.

Best regards from Switzerland

dieterke, those Tanic Packs look like they are they same price as the TP Packs. 5S2P 4160 mah are $279.95 each and the size is a different configuration. I noticed you had one pack in the middle of the heli, I need to place one there also because the CG is a bit forward. If I did that the size of these packs would be OK.

Flynheli,

You will love that 1912x1.5Y. I have this motor with the Jazz controller and the Fp 10S1p Evo 20 in my 3DMP and the machine is an endless power heli.

Enjoy!

Hi stanc

I look your gallery and see your e-Raptor. Is the CG not to much in the Front ?
My balance with the two Tanic-Packs is the same which I have with the TT engine.

Yes the CG is forward but it flies great, the problem I'm haveing if you want to call it a problem is my head speed. With the throttle around 90 or so on the curve my head speed is 2300. Gary Goodrum says and my calculation say it should be 2000. I have 2 - 5S2P, 1912 1.5Y, 9T pinion, 86T main and Jazz 55-10-32. I'm only getting 10 min or so flight time, nothing is over heating at that head speed. Motor ~125, esc ~95 - 100 and packs ~90 deg F. Anyone have any ideas why the head speed is that high?

FlynHeli, are you using 1 - 10S2P pack or 2 - 5S2P packs? TPPacks recommends 2 - 5S2P packs for mounting up front, instead of below the CF frame stiffener.

I ordered the same pack when I ordered the electric conversion and the esc, Gary sent me an e-mail telling me he was sending two 5S2P instead of the one 10S2P, because of where you mount the packs. Go to my gallery and look at the the last of the first eight pics. Are you using the CCPM up-grade, if not maybe the one 10S2P pack might be better. You would probably have to mount it under the CF stiffener. Since I have the CCPM, I don't need the servo tray, so I cut off the servo boxes and retained the receiver tray and mounted the packs where you see them.

How did you get the 10S2P pack between the motor and the frame stiffner? I haven't tried it yet but after measuring the distance between the two, doesn't look like enough room for the pack to fit between them.

I had no problem. i hade more of a problem between the front of the frame had to grind that out a little.

I did a test flight the other day this heli has incredible power. I did a full power climb out and my jaw droped to the ground.
