My Posts This: Topic  Forum		It seems that so many here are having notning but problems here with vibrations. Has any one here had there Swift fly without vibrations right out of the box. I'm thuinking of getting one but don't want to have all the problems. Logo 10 would be an alternative but the replacement parts are to damn expensive. What to do?

most of the people here love it and have only a slight vibration while spooling up or down, once airborn, its a great heli!

Most that I know of have had no problems at all. The problem is that most don’t post it when they don’t have any problems. It’s definitely a good helicopter.



If I wanted a higher quality helicopter I would not go to the Logo 10; I would get a Raptor conversion or one of the new XeroG 600EP kits.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'd definately buy one again, even with the initial resonance issues. Most of these are no longer a problem and Century are working hard to sort the last few issues. Performance is good and price is brilliant, even the spares prices are low, not much more than a Trex for most items.

Like most, I posted when I had a problem, after all, thats when most people post so the forums can give a very skewed view. I'm happy enough to have recommended Swifts to friends I fly with, a sure route for a lot of ribbing if I wasn't happy myself.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Last statistics was that 6% of the first batch had vibration problems and they are supposedly working on all issues. They already beefed up the landing gear.

I have one and would buy another if the cold front would'nt have dried up my money tree. :(

Is it a good investment? No. Helis in general are'nt. But damm they're fun to fly. :D

I would recommend purchasing a crash kit with it as well as main grips. This would save you some down time.

...and YES...logos are more expensive...rumor it that they are going to bring down prices this summer...yet to be seen....to compete with Swift...none the less.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I just finished and hovered my swift for the first time and can tell you that it is going to be a winner and as someone already said....the best barain out there Mine flew great from the first spool up requiring only rudder trim. I am using their least expensive combo package and am very happy. I had slight vibration spooling up and down but no problems in the air. The swift vibration is not even a factor in my opinion. I had a mikado logo once and really liked it and crashed it due to a glitch. The swift feels the same to me. Since I don't fly my helis far away....well within the range of the rx, I have gone to the spectrum radio system in the swift, eco8 and zoom with no glitching. I actually was able to put two machines back in the air due to that radio. A happy camper here!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Well, I'm one of the ones who still has a vibration problem but I'm not sorry I bought the Swift. The price is very good and I'm really happy with how it flies, but it shakes like a wet dog when spooling up. I know it's just a matter of time though before an upgraded head is available to solve the vibration issue for all.

Have you contacted Century? I just noticed at the top of the Swift thread a post from Century asking anyone with vibration issues to call them. It would be interesting to hear there response.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I just flew my swift two days ago for the first time. I have flown Excell and Century stuff for many years.

The Swift is my favorite. I am using a Tango 45-08(couldn't get the 10 when I ordered), 12 tooth pinion, Jazz 55-10-32, and 6s2p 5000 Evo 20, turning Helimax carbon 550's.
I have settled on a flat 90% curve for my style of flying.

Charger is Astroflight 109 and I use the 2s-6s balancer from duralite.

Right now I'm flying with an Astroflight Whatt Meter on board and trying to find the best performance vs flight time. I'm pretty sure 90% is a good curve for this setup.

10 minutes sport flying uses approx 3950-4100mah at a really nice headspeed. you can get another 2 minutes out the pack but I keep those two minutes in reserve.

Anyway, I am very happy with my Swift. Every bit as powerful as my Hawk, maybe more so.
