Try resetting your crystals It sounds like you have one not plugged in correctly. you might have to turn it around also......

The red and green usually means that the 4-in-1 is not seeing any signal from the transmitter. As stated, check your crystals in both very closely.

BTW, crystals can be turned in either direction.

I doubt it's a problem with the 4-in-1. Sounds like it is working fine. Also make sure your stock Tx antenna is tight.

It's good to hear you found the problem.

But as it is with helis, a new problem is always showing up. I find a lot of problems right after Mother Earth has reached up and smack my heli down.

I seem to hear that a lot of the DD motors burn up?? I have had better luck with the stock tail assembly and good computer transmitter programming to keep the tail put.

Don't get me wrong, some are having great luck with it. It's just not for me, I feel the stock assemble is somewhat more reliable.

Me too,

tried the DD tail and it was noisy, worked OK til the motor went,,,,,

back to stock,

longer flight times too with the stock setup, the jerky little blade on the DD is pretty inefficient and has to relaly rev up to fix the tail well, may be faster but at the exspense of efficiency,,,,,,

I kept the fancy tail skid plastic thingy,,,,,,,,

You will have to take apart the 4in1 and find where the antenna is soldered. Then just heat that solder up take the old one off and just solder the new one on.

Your LHS should carry a replacement antenna wire. It is not just any wire, a replacement antenna wire

You don't have to take the 4-in-1 apart if you don't want to. You can soldier in the length needed to return the antenna back to it factory length. Just make sure it a good soldier joint and you insulate it well with some heat shrink tubing.

As for the wire, any stranded wire of the same size will be suitable. Radio Shack has small rolls of the suitable wire, again make sure it's stranded. You can also pick up the heat shrink tubing there too.

If it helps, I have plenty of wire and heat shrink. I'd be happy to stick some in the mail.

I just went and measured, the stock antenna length is 39" overall. I also discovered that I have three good receiver sections out of the 4-in-1, if your problem continues and you think it's the receiver section, I'll be glad to send you one.
