My Posts This: Topic Forum | I agree that 2700 rpm is nothing to sneeze at, but it wont hold more than about 2400rpm at full pitch, 10 degrees. At 2450 rpm, the helicopter just feels like a dog. I originally had the Razor v2 and a TP 3s-730. I know the pack is on the small side, but I hadn't bought a 1320 pack yet. With this combination the climb performance was pretty good, but the motor was getting too warm for my tastes and the motor and battery were so light that I couldn't get the CG right. The 400DH weighs 20 grams more and the 1320 is 36 grams heavier than the 730. If you do a headspeed calculation, I should be getting more rpm.
4200 * 11.1 * 0.85 * 10/140 = 2830 rpm
I was wondering what you guys were getting, as it seems that most people are happy with this motor. So far, I'm not impressed. I think I'll contact JGF and see what they think. (The motor was bought directly from them, albeit a while a go. I just hadn't installed it in anything else before. Maybe it's past its sell by date.) |
