What do ya'll think. I haven't flown it yet. It's a black drinking straw... I didn't have black zipties though.

I've been told many times that would be a bad idea since carbon is conductive. Hence this idea... and looks cleaner then wraped around the skid.

Another shot after I installed the aluminum swash plate (christmas present ) and main gear/shaft. The shear pin was bent and the shaft distorted, was fun getting the bearings off.

It should work great, I have done 3 Blades like this with no issues.

I use a Black MAP antenna mounted at the bottom of the right landing skids. Plenty of distance from the motor and 4-in-1. Works great and looks very neat. Have never had a glitch.

Much cleaner looking. Nice job, Travis. Any flights/glitch tests yet? Almost afraid to ask, but where'd you get the black straw?

Cheers,
George

Mmm, Roast Beef. We're traveling this week, but no stops in Mizzou. I'll just have to break out the sharpie. LOL.

At least I've got the black zip ties.

Lions Choice has the BEST roast beef sandwiches, IMO!

Okay, I found the black straws (Sundance!) and here's my version of your idea. http://www.desertjazzparty.com/bladecp.html

It has been flight tested through several packs without incident. Best of all, it still fits the box it came in. Take that Trex!

Thanks for the cool, free Blade mod!

Cheers,
George

Skid replacement was easy in the low position, too. They slip right off. No need to replace zip ties.

I decided to keep the antenna as far as possible from the battery/motor/main gear. Call me superstitious.
