My Posts This: Topic Forum | Thanks guys for offering to "adopt" the little bird. But I really think there was something inherently wrong with that heli. I believe it was something in the electronics or servos causing it to wig out.
Yes, there was plenty of slop in the head, but I have an old Shuttle that is just as sloppy and still flys pretty good. There was A LOT of free play in that Honeybee's servos though, more than I've ever seen!
It wouldn't lock on to any pitch and would hunt and shoot up and down. Your welcome to fish it out of my trash, but let me tell you, that thing is dangerous! Let's put it this way: I haven't crashed a heli in years and that thing was completely out of control with a mind of it's own. I couldn't even save it. Thank God it didn't hit me or anybody else.
I have built ALL 5 of my helicopters, and they ALL fly great. I know that some of them take more time to setup than others but this is not just a trimming/mixing/gyro thing. Hell - I can make a Micron fly pretty good. Try that. Sometimes you just have to know when to give up and move on.
I'm content with cutting my losses and moving on. For $188.00, its not worth fixing. But it sure was fun slamming that piece of crap in the garbage. I'll write the company, that's enough for me.
Then back to flying......... |
