My Posts This: Topic Forum | The Align 30/50 product is scheduled to be announced at the WRAM show this week. If I were Mikado I would want to know what that looks like and what interest there is for it first before I made my move. As cheap as the Swift is, I think Mikado might be thinking that the swift will funnel MORE business to them long term rather than less, by positioning the L10 as an upgrade chassis for the guts the swift user already has.
The L10 is still a better heli, they don't beat the Swift on price, just reduce the spread a little.
The Align may force a change in that sort of thinking. Align doesn't have the same (customer service? what's that?) history as Century. They also have a huge company (by hobby standards), huge engineering resources, and they're big enough (like WalMart) to be able to sell at a loss to gain market share if they chose to.
Once they cut prices, they can't easily mark them back up, so it makes sense for them to be very cautious about it.
Long term tho, I can't imagine how they could maintain current pricing with both Century and Align kicking down their door.
So I think we're not going to hear anything official till the Align heli is out and reviewed. (or until Mikado gets their hands on one)
