This year, we'll be having a new event called 'drift diving for Raptors'.

We set up a strong current in the lake with the fire engine pump and you have to find and snag
the underwater Raptor.

Certified divers only pls.

let's hope it's a bit cooler this year! Last year was too hot!

Last year I lost my caterer at the last moment and none of the cantine trucks would come unless I could guarantee them more people than we usually have. Well good news, I have someone that will cater the event this year. Nothing too fancy, just good food.

I think last year I sweated off about 2lbs. and I did nothing. I will be there to learn "everything" so If you think that Im doing a stunt that you have just came up with 9 times out of 10 your right...lol.

I won't be there on Saturday (my anniversary) but I'll try to be there on Sunday! I enjoyed it last year with my Rappy 30. This year I'll have my Intrepid gasser in the air. I'm just starting to get brave and put it into forward flight.

Fly officially starts at 9:00. But that's because I need some time to get set up.

However, because of the site location I'm not limited by neighbors so we can actually start flying when we want.

Hi Shawn,

No there are no plans to reschedule at this time. Unfortunately I can't afford to take the chance on getting washed out twice in one season. My wallet simply can't handle it.

I look at this as a test. Last year it was hot as hell and this year it might be a washout. Nature seems to be throwing the extremes at me to see if we'll stick with it. Maybe next year it'll be nice to us and give us something in the middle.

OTOH all is not lost yet either. I'm not throwing in the towel, sponge would probably be more appropriate, just yet. I'm hearing weather reports that range anywhere from showers to a full blown monsoon. Lets hope the forecasters are as accurate as ever and it doesn't rain at all.

I'd like to thank everyone that came out and braved the weather. It was a tough weekend but luckily we got a break on Sunday with the weather and got some good flying in. I hope everyone had a good time.
