Delrin Counter Gear 0414-169

The number of teeth doesn't seem to match the stock EVO50 evolution gears.

The stock main gear appears to be 87T according to my manual and the second gear 80T instead of 79T. Is this still ok to use?

Part number 414-169 is listed as "Counter Gear 17T for Freya tube drive", will this still work on the EVO 50?

Basically I want to do a full conversion to the Delrin gears, if I buy:
0412-168 + 414-169

should that be all i need ?

Got my birthday coming up and the wifey want to get me something. Nothing says love like Delrin gears....lol

I'm a bit Curious..

On Rick's the pictures for neither the 412-169 nor the 412-170 show the metal base that is shown in the 412-168 package?

The prices of the those pieces also don't add up to the 412-168.

Is this something that needs to be bougth separately?? And what is the price?

I am trying to break this upgrade down to pieces so my friends and family can each give a piece for my birthday...

That's because the machined metal hub isn't included in the gear prices. The upper main gear can be replaced by removing the stock plastic gear and installing the Delrin main gear instead, but the lower gear requires the machined hub.

The lower gear hub can be purchased separately, but I don't think Rick's carries it in stock. 412-171 SD Second Gear Housing.

AirFlex, Wont you be better off getting it as a complete kit for a slightly lower price than as individual parts?

Andy,

I would, but i'm putting together a wishlist for friends and family and looking to keep prices below $30. It would require coordination on their part to go in together and get the full set...that's a bit much to ask i think..

If they order early enough and have it shipped USPS then it should be pretty cheap..seems like when you add up the pieces and compare to the set they're not off by much.
