Thanks for the kind words.
Bob...I usually change out servo horns that require more than 20 or so on a sub trim. The smaller servos, like the S75's, can be a little difficult to get it perfect due to the spline and horn fit. Sometimes 20 or slighty higher is the best you can get. BUT I agree 40 or so is a lot. Try swapping the horns from the 3 servos you have. You'd be surprised how 1 horn on a different servo may get you under a value of 12 vs. another. Some are even perfect and require no sub trim. Just takes some fiddeling around. I'll double check mine tonight and let you know what sub trims settings my 2 BCP's have.
Catfight...different model TX's usually have slightly different values. The 6102 TX I used had different setting that what my DX6 has now. Again I will double check my DX6 values and put post them. Glad you liked the article. At times the hardest part is keeping things under raps per say. New stuff is always exciting to try and test out. I like to show this stuff off...I'm a modeler at heart and I know if I'm jazzed about a product that most will be too!
LostSoul...in both my BCP's I have full throttle as the ID setting. No curve. Just in normal to spool it up. Once all equalizes and loads I flip to wide open. Especially with the lower powered brushed AEK motor. Nothing wrong with it but since power is just so much...wide open helps. I also run wide open on my E-Flite brushless motor'ed BCP too. Pitch ranges are linear on both helis and I just fly the head with wide open power. ESC runs cooler as does the motor. Of course this takes into consideration that you have the brushless motor set up with the correct gear too. 4100 KV motor on 3S needs the 8 tooth pinion. Stock AEK motor needs 9 tooth pinion...it comes with that when you buy the AEK, to run on 3S. Box stock motor has 10 tooth on it and is not designed to run on 3S LI-PO's.
Thanks for the interest...
