Get rid of the ringed heli engine, throw in an ABC marine engine with a heat sink head and a tuned pipe, and hang on. It should be able to run a drag race before it overheats.

Go get a RB Concepts C5 buggy engine. Its a .21 size engine that turns 42,000 rpm and makes almost 3hp. 350 bucks. Has 7 intake ports and one exhaust. Meanest little thing you will ever see.

And who would make the 12" diameter maingear for you? And where would you fit this main gear? I can't believe the supercharger debate hasn't found this thread yet either!

LOL Al just caught this thread since I'm bored with all the new sub questions etc. It just wouldn't work since it would probably strip the crap out of any gearing that you have in you heli I can just see someone getting impaled by the blades Jimmi

Hey Jimmi! How have you been? For dream world horsepower gains, ask the Wasp about his supercharger experience.

Bump the exhaust timing up to 178-180 degrees, run a tuned pipe made for RC hydroplanes (outriggers) and use 50% nitro. But beware, your powerband will be very narrow. What size engine?

Mr. G

What gear ratios do you have available to you and what engine would you like to get more out of?

I wonder what the pinion would look like to make that thing work and keep the headspeed under 10,000 rpm.

Peace Through Superior Firepower!!!

Actually NOS has been done. I have seen many youtube clips of rc cars with Nitrous systems that seem to work pretty well! Would have serious coolness factor if nothing else

RC cars don't have to fly the bottle. How many pounds of nitrous do you think it would take to fly a typical 3D flight?

This is a very funny thread! Here's my 2 cents worth: If you want more power scrap the nitro idea and put on a Scorpion 4035-560 or a Neu motor either on 12S with good batts, and if it doesn't tear up your heli from shear POWER, you WILL go FAST!!!

You don't supercharge a piston ported two stroke. Intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time. No boost .
