My Posts This: Topic Forum | For the longest time I have been running my twist 37 with 3S2P TP 4200 packs, about 100 flights. At 100% governor mode on the Kontronic 40-6-18 controller I was originally getting roughly 2200 rpm on the head with a 14T pinion
Now I got some of the new prolite 3S2P packs with the balancer, and noticed an increase in headspeed. So I thought great, must be because they can dump more amps and all is good.
But today I was flying and it seemed that the headspeed was really high, and thinking it was high, I changed my throttle to 85% for idle up 1 and 95% for idle up 2.
Measured the headspeed at 85% and it was 2650 and at 95% was over 2800.
So has my motor demagnaitzed or something? I have never run the motor hot, has always just been warm to the touch.
What headspeed should I be expecting at 95% with the 14T pinion?
Is it worth it to have the motor serviced by Kontronic? I was planning to send them a speed controller anyway for service.
