My Posts This: Topic  Forum		A friend is having a problem with his newly installed OS 50 in a Raptor.
The crankshaft nut keeps coming loose causing the fan to come off and rub the the clutch bell. He his running a Hobbies and Heli's 46 size muffler. Could the muffler be too restricrive and cause this problem ?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I do not know what kind of fan you are using but the OS 50 has a woodruff key on the crank.It possibly could be missing.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Actually , it is the clutch rubbing the the clutch bell as a result of the fan coming loose. Does the woodruff key need to be installed ?
After using a little more muscle the nut seems to be staying in place.

I used some serious muscle and blue locktite. Makes gettin the fan to come loose a little difficult , but beats having to take it apart all the time to fix the loose nut. Mine used to do it all the time.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I always use Blue Locktite. Never had a nut loosen. I also use moderate muscle power to install it. Never had to use high strength to tighten a crank nut.

I have little muscles.
Point is tighten it till it is good and tight with some blue loctite and the problem should go away.
