Here's an updated video with the Century gyro. Here is my new setup:

Hornet CP
Electron 6 Rx
Feigao 4462 Kv 18 Amp Constant 25 Amp Max Brushless motor (was for a T-rex)
3s TP 1320 Lipos
Castle Creations Phoenix 25
HS 55 Servos (collective)
TowerPro SG90 for tail (.12 sec/60 deg)
Century semi-sym wood blades (broke the MS CF ones)
Century Pico piezo gyro (single rate)..... broke the CSM LW200 (headin hold)
JR XP652 Tx

Certainly better stability, a bit of kick now and then, not too bad for a rate gyro and more manageable.
You can tune the Hornet setup to be either agile or more stable with a higher mass rotor system.

Between the showers I sneaked out a couple of hours ago to practice flipping and rolling the Hornet

. Got to be so quick and accurate, I figured I would get used to the speed of manoeuvres by now but it still sends my heart rate sky high.
Lucky not to get the car stuck

, took me 10 mins to get my car 10ft off a muddy field. Few!

Looks like you're running a stock main gear. I'd try a one-way main gear as it will freewheel and not be as radically subjected to motor speed/torque variance.
