My Posts This: Topic Forum | I also think the design of the SE hub is crap. As others have said, it puts the load onto a small screw. It's just wrong. The XL has a much better design as the grip bearings slide over part of the hub. All the screw does is keep the grip from flying off rather than also taking the rotational and blade load.
I've just pulled apart the tail of my new SE to try and get some of the slop out of it (there is more slop in it than my banged-up XL). While doing that, I discovered that both the new bolts, the black ones with the sholder, were slighly bent. Either that or the thread in the hub is missaligned. I've never crashed it, and I'm only running 2200-2400rpm, not something insane like 3200. |
