My Posts This: Topic Forum | With the stock battery, you should be able to fly up and around, far beyond 10 feet of altitude. As the battery voltage drops, you will notice that you need to add more right tail rotor to maintain a heading in the hover-this is your que to land.
Converting to a two cell lipo, will add much more performance and flight time. You will need a special charger for the lipo.
I only changed the motor on mine, when I noticed a lack of power after a lot of flying. If the product is new and the motor is defective, contact Hobby People for warrantee service.
On thing that someone on the forum clued me in on, was to remove the sticker on the motor if it is covering the vent holes (mine was) this will help with motor life.
Also, lube the bearings on the motor, the main rotor, the swashplate, and the tail motor (you can probably only get to the gear end of the tail motor) if you have not done so already.
A light machine oil will work fine. |
