The autorotation assy is available.. I have one. You need a new main shaft also. I'm not sure yet if it is going to be packaged with the 16v2 in the future or not.

I have heard a rumor that they are working on getting the auto "available" or with the kit. This seems to be the only rub with the v16. If I hear anything else I will let you know.

I just ordered mine ...with the autorotation mod and carbon fiber mains. I will not be putting it together until Christmas weekend. You see, the family wants to go skiing so while they are doing that ( I no longer can do to a disability) I will be happily constructing my QJ16V2! Anyone run into problems during the building process (I doubt it based on my QJ8 experience)?

I need some suggestions on power...I will be using a Tanic 2450mAH 4 cell pack, 14.8 volts of course. Harold Little at Helicopter Hobbies is trying to get me to wait on the new Hacker which is due out in January. I am tempted to wait since I have a Hacker in my QJ8 and it does quite well. (Started with a Himax 2815 which turned out to be a piece of junk.) I am a sport flyer so I do not need a lot of hooha in the power department. Any suggestions? I will not be using more battery power than the single, 4 cell Tanic. How about the Quark 45? Is that enough ESC? I guess a motor selection is required before that question can be answered...

By the way, what servos are you guys using on the tail rotor?

Henry,
It goes together like a dream...you wont have any problems.
I wish I could help you in the line of motor and speed controls...actually I'm still deciding on what to package them with myself. I'd love to hear your test report with whatever you try.
I am having a slight issue with the canopy...but its not a problem.

Hey guys..Just wanted to let you know that we are looking at putting the auto hub in with the 16v-2. Harold is looking at selling the heli both ways. With the auto hub and without.
Henry.. The hacker motor is a good one.. I also really like the AXI motors. an AXI 28-26-10 should do just fine.

Randy
If I can help you guys with anything just drop me a line.

Would a Kontroniks Fun 600-18 be enough for the QJ EP-16? Or would that be more for the EP-8? Thanks.

on the control horn for one of your servos. It is the screw conecting to a ball. In the pitore of the motor you can see it on the right bearly. and in the picture looking at a down angle you can see it better.

What are the power requirements for this heli? I've seen reference to using (2) 3s2100mah packs in a 6s config but I don't see how it would fly on that config. It's the same size as the Swift and according to all the "experts" the Swift would destroy a 6s 2100mah pack.

I the references to flying on 6S 2100 refer to the EP-8 and not the EP-16/18 which is a much larger 30 size heli with 550mm blades. Indeed this will not work to fly such a large heli on 6s 2100 mah. There are people running 8S1P 2100 on the Ep-8 already so i cant imagine anyone running the EP-16 with only 6 cells of this size. Might get off the ground but those cells wont last long.
