I don't know about that but hey maybe you could come out and show us how its done.
Jason no doubt set the bar but the others were also amazing. This was the first time I had the pleasure of seeing Ian fly and I was blown away by his smoothness.
Erich, Danny and the other Micro boys were equally impressive.
What a great time it was to be there with this group.

Many thank to MR for the video support. I like your new camera man!

very diplomatic for not mentioning Kyle
i would certainly not classify any of kyles flying as sloppy. especially not the video MRshot. Great job again kyle.

Each and every pilot flew amazingly. Little Klye will be the future of this hobby so keep it up little buddy. This was all possible with the support of Andy from Assurance, the US destributor of Align who made it all possible. Thanks to Andy and the pilots.

Hi Guys,

All the pilots did a great job! I'm glad Ian got in the competition too!!! It was a ton of fun.

Danny S. was using the Spektrum DX6 system. Before I could lend Danny a coupla receivers and the use of my DX6 transmitter, it has a 10 model memmory, Horizon Hobby stepped up to the plate and donated a complete NEW system to Danny with a spare receiver for his 2 T-Rex's. I helped him get the helis set up and he flew great! His current system was causing glitches both outdoors and indoors. He said the next flight would either be great or a crash. I'm glad he was able to fly.

None of us flying the DX6, there were plank demos with the DX6 system going on too, had any glitch what-so-ever. I had heard a few heli guys say they got hit depending on where they stood in the caged area to fly.

It was a great time. I enjoyed seeing the T-Rex's tear it up indoors and chatting with everyone.

Ian Crane was the guy I was talking to on Saturday when they were turning out the lights at the end of the show. The flying style that I saw him fly just blew me away. So smooth & precise. I wish Mark would have gotten a video of that flight. Mark even made the comment that that was the best he's ever seen him fly all weekend.

I don't mean to be critical, but from the videos, it looked like Ian Crane flew alot better with greater tricks and flying skill than did Danny Szabo, but he placed third instead of second. I feel the judges really didn't do a good job. Maybe I missed something, but this is just my opinion.

The video you saw was only Sunday's flight.

On Saturday Ian forgot 1 of the mandatory manouevers during his routine. He lost points for that. By adding up the scores he was lower vs. Danny in points over all.

For those not in attendance, there were 2 days of flying. Both scores counted and were added up.

Saturday's flight was 3 mins 30 seconds total. Because the event finished up so early on Saturday the Sunday flying was opened up to 4 mins 30 seconds. So on Sunday once you got your mandatory manouevers in you had more time to wow the judges with freestyle. I think Ian did a great job in coming as close to Danny as he did.

AND I think Danny did a great job holding him off too!!!

There was a lot of carnage too on Saturday. I think Danny may have blown his #1 T-rex away and was flying his back up. Everyone was switching blades all day in an attempt to get the BEST flying T-Rex. It was fun to watch...

ALL the contestants did a great job! It was a great event and I hope the WMHC continues in the future.
