Question for the experts...

I was looking at http://www.wirelessvideocameras.com/. They have a camera/rx and tx for around $6-700. The camera was 450 tv lines??? What does that mean as far as pic quality?

What I'm thinking about.... could I use a set-up like this and run it through my sony digital video camera at the receiving end to record and take stills? Or is the pic quality not good enough? It seems like a pretty good idea to keep my $1300 video cam on the ground if possible! I could also avoid having to manipulate all the bells and whistles on the camera with servos if they were in someone's hands... I also have a nikon digital camera with much higher resolution than the video cam. Could I aim the camera from wireless through my nikon to take high quality stills?

I know I can use my video cam on the ground, just not sure about what the best set-up is on the heli. I'm not dying to make this a big production, but it would be fun to take pics of my house and group pics at funflys...

I just can't get a hang of this arrowbatick stuff, figured I'd branch off and try something else...

Maybe I need to work more, that would keep me from thinking about these damn helicopters 24/7... I think I need a twelve step program...

In "TV" speak the resolution is expressed in vertical resolution (the maximum number of horizontal lines that can be displayed (and seen)). In NTSC (The standard currently in use in the USA) there are 525 horizontal scan lines which are "interlaced" for an "absolute" resolution of 262 lines. Fringing affects occur which limit the effective resolution to about 420 lines for a good TV. (due to over scan at the top and bottom) a "good" VCR can achieve about 400 lines. the normal Computer in "VGA" mode is 640/480 is capable of 480 lines. so the resolution would be like "normal" VCR quality.
