As stated above this is what I have, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on settings for the radio. Also if anyone has heard of a book or video going into more detail on setting up the 7chp. It seems to me that certain settings have duplicate ways of doing them. The futaba book is ok I just wish they went into a little more detail on some things.

Also wondering which swashplate setting everyone is using I've tried a couple that sounded right and both seemed to work. These are the things that add to the confusion.

I've got the same setup here. Heli type is HR3. 120 degree CCPM. Check page 61 in the radio book. The key here is that when you raise the left stick, the swashplate uniformly raises to increase blade pitch.

What kind of pitch/throttle curves are you using? How about gyro settings? I have a Futaba 401 in mine. I'm still working through some tail wag. Things are pretty steady until I get off the ground and then the tail starts waging.

I'm still pretty new to all of this myself. I too am interested in what recommendations others will have.

I am using the h-3 swash plate both seemed to work I wish i could find out what the difference is. That is what I don't like about the manual, the descriptions of how these things work is terrible.

I am hoping to find a book or dvd on using the 7c. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. I was also wondering if the book for the 9c would be of any help, or if the 9c uses completely different settings.

As for pitch and throttle settings I am still playing around with them so nothing is set in stone yet.

I'm using the futaba 240 gyro set at about 60%. It works great for me with out any tail wagging from what I've seen, but I had a tail strike and messed up the tail.

I'm out of commision for a bit, but once I get fixed and have more time to play around with the settings I will post what I am running.

I will say I am new to helis and I am not flying inverted or anything fancy yet, but I did find out the hard way not to use to much negative pitch. I am pretty good with my fixed pitch rotofly, and when using alot of negative pitch you can scew this thing into the ground.

Crashoften. I took the neg pitch off of my Trex. My pitch curve is 0,0,0,+6,+8.. This way, you learn to fly with the upper part of the stick. Then when you add neg pitch, it is not all new. Prevents augering into the ground until you get better at flying. My throttle curve is 0,50,90,90,90.

Any of you using this ESC? with your 3d pro and 7c? Like a moron last night I updated my ESC software and it changed the throttle settings, so now I throttle up and the collective moves nicely but not motor.
