My Posts This: Topic Forum | I too am using my Futaba 9 CHP. You can also use Berg Crystals - they work just as good as the Futaba as I used a Berg from one of my receivers to test out my 9CHP initially. Yes, I ended up getting a Futaba Crystal because I had to put the Berg back into my receiver, but it worked just fine. Another point here to you guys looking at using another tranmitter, at least with the Futaba line, is that as long as your transmitter can do CCPM and the crystal is single conversion (Not Hitec as I too learned the hard way the moment I plugged the battery in) you should be good to go. There is another thread here of a guy who split open his 4 in 1 and was able to install his JR receiver. I do like the fact of being able to set my own Throttle and Pitch Curves. I also have Throttle Hold active for that just in case scenerio. Boyd's mod of putting in the Hummingbird CP one way bearing/shaft assembly works great too. I did it and love it as the headspeed stays more constant (doesn't drop as quick when decreasing throttle inputs in normal mode). Mine gets the hiccups here and there and others that have Blades noticed it too. They haven't experienced any probs what so ever and found it odd when I told them about mine. Well, they saw it too. I tend to think it's my brushes arching ever so often as the motor will jump (can see quick change in rotor speed) and the pitch (I think) changes due to this glitch anomoly. After seeing Boyd's bird I'm crossing over to Brushless with seperates and run a Berg RX. I have the same setup on my Hummer FP and never looked back - awesome power and 100% reliability - will just hank everything off the Hummer and put it all in the Blade. Should work great on the Blade and then I can get the full potential out of her. Too afraid right now to roll her over on her back as I never know when she's going to "jump".
