Guys,

I have an Evo 50 and fly 3d. I've removed the brass inserts from the paddles but I'm still not happy with the cyclic response - its too slow.

I don't want to remove the lead inserts because I like the feel in fast forward flight.

What size servo arms are you using on your Evos? Also what deflection do you get as a result?

Many thanks in advance for all replies.

With full servo deflection, I'm getting maxiumum swashplate deflection - pop off your swashplate links and check whether your swashplate is being moved to its maximum with full aileron/elevator stick throw.

Another way to check is to see what main blade deflection you're getting with cyclic input, should be at least 6 degrees each way.

Cyclic

Get V Paddles. I never used anything else on my EVO. Also, kick the headspeed to 1950-2000.

I was under the impression that V paddles didn't fit very well on the Evo flybar?

I am using the cut flybar trick that I read on here. I think it is 2 grams ligher than the lead if cut the same length as the lead.
