That is confirmed here too - I use a lot of GWS single conversion Rx with my Futaba 9CHPS Tx - and there is no need to change the Tx module to go from dual to single conversion Rx.

Now I am also confirming that a Hitec single conversion crystal does not work. I tried one today. So now I have a genuine Futaba on order from Tower Hobbies.

I am completely sick of the glitching from the Blade tx.

Using Blade CP TX with JR or GWS reciever, possible?

This may be a little bit off topic, but seems to be the closest place to post.

I have 2 receivers: 1 - GWS R-6NII and 1 JR R610UL.

Objective: I would like to use my Blade CP TX with 1 of these RX's.

After swapping crystals, the JR does nothing and the GWS will Throttle Up fine, but the servo just twitches continuously. I do not know if their is a compatibility issue or not. I am confortable with my Blade CP TX, not to mention low on cash flow. Below are existing TX's I own. Anyone got any ideas? Would a conversion be possible?

2 x Blade CP Transmitters
1 x JR Quattro Transmitter
1 x ESKY HoneyBee CDp2 Transmitters

So I need to get a different module for my 9c?

Midwestpilot -

NO, do NOT change your 9C tx module, all you need is the single conv. (short) Futaba rx crystal. That's how I fly mine (actually, it's my LHS demo - I fly it all the time) and it works great. And just recently I bought the 9C synth module so now I can leave the stock Blade crystal in the 4-n-1 and I just dial in the right tx freq and it still works great.

The Blade tx is negative shift so it will not work with your JR rx. Your GWS rx is probably positive shift - does it have a "J" sticker on it, if so it's JR also.

I have seem multi confirmations

that hitec xtals do not work...good....this gives me hope...I have a futaba xtal on the way.

I did not think I needed to change the module...I dont even think they make a module that is single conversion.... so I was confused by some of the above comments about the tx xtal...

Thanks guys.

P.S. I sent my 4 in 1 in to horizon to be replaced do to glitching issues, a new one is on its way back to me now.

TX6A

I have a 9C and a TX6A, both on 30 and would like to leave the 9c alone and use the Tx6A for a Blade. I have read about use of the 9C but have found nothing on the TX6A, If I buy a SINGLE SHIFT Futaba crystal on my channel 30 I should be OK, correct? This would save me from buying a round to square trainer cord, yes I am a chopper noob. Can't wait to get started, am needing a change from planes for awhile, thanks in advance. oh yeah, gotta find somebody who has em in stock!

jhunter,

Yes, you will need a Futaba short low band rx crystal (part number FUTL6230) for the Blade's 4n1.

What exact model is your 6A? If it's a T6XA, it will not work with the Blade, if it's the T6XAS, then it will work. The non-S 6A doesn't have the right heli software for the Blades CCPM.

IMO I'd spend the $14 for the trainer cord and use your 9C. Actually, the TX that comes with it is not so bad (after you get rid of the rachet on the throttle).

Rod, thanks for the info, the TX is the AS but I think I just traded it and a plane for a Conquest 60, with all JR stuff included. I am a newbie to choppers so I will get the Blade for learning, have a huge hangar at work to fly in, out of the Nevada winds. FUTL6230, I assume the last digits are channel so I will order one with the blade and when I have my instructor buddy visiting for the Air Races he can give me some buddy box lessons. John

Where do I get a Futaba single conversion crystal? All I see on Tower hobbies site is a Hitec single. The Futaba crystals appear to be all dual conversion.

I tried using one of the dual conversion crystals from one of my other receivers and it doesn't work. That's why I'm assuming I need a single conversion crystal for the receiver in the Blade.

not sure about 8uhf super...

does it transmit in PCM and PPM....if so make sure it is in PPM mode and turn off and on the radio after switching modes...thats what you have to do with the 9c anyway...

Also be very sure you are actually plugging in the RX crystal...it was very easy to go in on an angle and miss the holes..but it still felt plugged in.

Here's what I run (this is for a Honeybee 2 CP which is basically the same heli):

For DR, EXP I have the AIL and ELE set at 140%, RUD set to 100%, I have the EXP set to 0 on and -5 depending on switch A setting.

Endpoints are all left at 100%

For servo REVERSE, channels 1 and 3 are reversed. The rest are normal.

SWASH is set to HR3 with AIL=65%, ELE=65%, PIT=50%.

For PARAMETER set MODUL to PPM

My Normal throttle curve is (P5 to P1) 100, 85, 70, 35, 0

My Normal pitch curve is (P5 to P1) 85, 70, 60, 47.5, 40

REVO is set to INH since the mixer does this for you.

Additionally TH-CRV 1 is set to 80, 70, 50, 70, 80. TH-CRV 2 is set to 75, 75, 75, 40, 0. PI-CRV 1 is set to 85, 62.5, 40, 25, 10. PI-CRV 2 85, 74.5, 63, 51.5, 40. But I haven't really played around with these too much.

This was the first setup I did with my 7CHP. So looking back I could have done a few things differently, but this works and should be a good starting point. I still use this on my HBCP.
