My Posts This: Topic Forum | Been flying my new X-spec this summer (when weather has allowed) and have been trying to track down a vibration issue. Everything smooth as silk until about the last 1/4 tank of fuel. Then the inside of the fuel tank turns into the "Perfect Storm". Balanced the heck out of everything. Like I said this thing is smooooooth, until the last 1/4 tank. Tonight after landing with engine still running and tank still pressurized, I noticed the tank (due to being pressurized) rubbing on the side frames, or the side frames rubbing on the tank, depends on how you look at it I guess. I'm thinking that the frame rubbing on the tank sides is inducing a vibration into the side walls of the tank causing the fuel to go nuts. When the tank has plenty of fuel in it it is a smooth a lake in there. Anyone else having a problem like this? What to do? The fuel tanks shock mounts are pretty much useless against vibration when the tank is in direct contact with the frames.
Thanks!
