And that's not the lead you would charge the battery with anyways, LiPo or not. You have to use the charge lead from the regulator (or take the battery out ).

I am thinking of using this set up for a Raptor 90 that I just got. I plan on using Ace DS1211 digital servos and they are rated to handle 6v. Where can I look up hte specs and prices of the battery pack and the regulatro? Thanks.

What do I need

OK, so I can order
- Arizona regulator, with upgraded wiring with deans connectors, which presumably plugs into the battery
- pin/flag switch upgrade
- Li-Ion battery (2400 or 4800) again with upgraded wiring and Deans connector (to plug into the regulator)

Seems to me that the weakest link is left in the regulator -> receiver power connection, as there is no "(To Receiver) Wiring Upgrades" option for this regulator.

Can someone clarify how all these fit together with the receiver and if there's anything further I'd need to get? How does power get to the receiver - via a single futaba style lead?

Cheers!

Correct, Dean's bat. output to reg input.

No weal link on reg to reciever. There are two leads from the reg (gyro/gain) that plug into the receiver. Both supply redundant power.

You ship them to my house and I'll forward them!

Thanks for the offer Ruff, its not clear from Fromeco's web site whether the halt on INTL orders is permanent, or until they've sorted out their systems. If the former, I may look else where for the batteries but its a shame.

If I understand correctly then, the Arizona regulator powers the receiver via the two gryo leads ie channels 4 & 5 and there is no separate power supply lead? (not that you need one)

E-mail them

Dr. Lodge,
The shipping issue is NOT due to the products themselves.
If you E-mail Fromeco they can sort it out for you.

Great news, I've emailed Kurt and Mike so will wait to see what they say. There was a possibility of them having a UK distributor which would be fantastic, but don't think this has gone too far. IMHO this product blows Duralite out of the water (or sky)!

Only batteries

Only batteries are limited to shipping in the US.
Regs can still be shipped.

If you want batteries shipped then contact Fromeco and ask them about it.

Hmmm..

Well I had to push mine pretty far back, but it is attached exactly the same as that picture.
It will be a couple days before I can get one.
How large is your battery?
I am only running a 2400 Relion in mine so maybe that is the problem.

is 6v ok for Digital Servos rated at 4.8v

I'm waiting for my Arizona regulator and 4800 Li-Ion battery as well and wanted to check to see if anyone has had any problems yet running the S9252's at 6V

I also have a set of JR 8311's and have been reluctant to run them at 6V as I can't find anything that says yes or no.

I have been using the Smart-Fly HD adj reg (@5.2v) and a 2000 Duralite from one of my planes and it makes the NiCad packs I was using look sick. I've yet to run the 2000mah pack out and everything always has full power.

With NiCad pack I was having to fast charge after every 3 flights as I once had the red like come on doing a pre-flight banging the sticks. Doing a search does show that a lot of others were having the same problem and some found out the hard way that you need to really keep on top of the NiCad's if your out for an entire day or just getting in a lot flights back to back.
