When using revo mix in normal what are your ball park numbers to start with on the five steps, with hover at 3/4?

If you insist on using rate mode and decide to use revo try 20 up and
-20 down.

The 9C uses a point mix for revmix so consider your hover point in the equation. Rev mix isn't hard to understand, you need more tail rotor pitch on the way up and it needs to reduce on the way back down.

The simple way to set it up is to do full power climbouts and watch the nose. If the nose swings to the left increase the gain if it swings to the right decrease gain. When you let off and descend just use the opposite of the climbout. This assumes CW rotation of the main rotor.

if you are using a 401 or some other HH capable gyro,
make sure you can turn off revo-mix if you do decide to use
HH mode or the revo-mix will screw up the HH.

revo mix

The problem is on my EVO it does not seem to be working correct, either too much or not enough in normal mode. HH works fine. The 9C in my X-cell works fine in normal with the 5 point curve, both have 401 gyros 9253 servo. Using the same percents to start with on both the Evo is still way off, Any ideas

They never end up the same on up and down, that's why you have to keep on playing with the percentages until you get it. One of the problems with using both rate and hh mode is that you can't really optimize one without making the other less than optimal.

Case in point is that if I wanted to use a rate gyro I would overdrive the tail. You can't do this anymore. So you can't get the optimal setup for a rate gyro.

IMHO, leave it in HH all the time.
