Hello fellow builders,
I have just started to put my X spec together and unlike my Raptor which I through together without ever balancing or doing a run out on the fan I am trouble getting this one true.
I can't get the metal, fan hub (blue bit) to run dead true. The best I can get is around 0.0015" is this near enough ?
The platic fan is way out and I can get an average to the nearest mile as the DTI rises and falls ( past every cooling fin casting to form a scalloped effect).
My main concern is the clutch shaft which is around 0.0025" as it is exagerated by the fan being slightly out.
Will it vibrate much at that level of runout or am I just fussing, as now I've put the DTI on it I am obsessed with trying to get it perfect.
Any good fixes for this problem.

Below 3/100mm and your good.
(3/100 is 0.001181" I think)

You dont have to check the fans runout, just balance it.
