I'm running the revmax... The headspeed last time I tached it was 1886. I didn't use the hatori 632 header. I would recommend getting the zimmerman header. The hatori header is a bit on the short side at 150mm where the zimmerman is 180. I took abot 15mm off of my zimmerman header and left it alone. The engine makes a tremendous ammount of power and falls off the pipe better than the muscle pipe when you shoot autos. The 970, 30% and a revmax == evil combination. Hey mike I sold the header along with the Fury. The guy that bought it really wanted it so I folded. That pipe setup is all that I'll run on my helis from now on. It's the best of both world. I weighed it and then the SB-17 and my setup comes in about 2 ounces heavier. I'll take that as a tradeoff given the power it makes...

Mike yep... I'm planning on being at CCRC this weekend. I gotta do some work on the engine and test the changes out tomorrow. Depending on how that goes will dictate if I can make it or not...

The Hatori 970 is readily available in the US from Century Heli. I've got two of them and have been using them for over two years. Do not use the Hatori header, it is far too short.

If you are truly interested in using this pipe for 3D with a C-Spec or Webra, research some of the articles I've posted on Runryder. I go into great detail about how to set this pipe up.

Properly set up, you don't need a governor or 30% nitro. It makes incredible TORQUE that will see you through just about any maneuver.

If you need further information, send me a PM. I am also using the Zimmermann 90 quiet pipe with excellent results.

Chris.

Fuel Consumption

What's the fuel consumption like with you guys running the 970? I'm getting 10 mins on a 600cc fuel tank, OS91PS and 15% nitro which seems a bit thirsty to me.

Mmm it depends on the kind of flying that I'm doing but 10 - 12 minutes sounds about right. I run a header tank as well, so that's probably another minute or so... The big blocks chew up the fuel.

I've got a header tank too so might stretch to 12 minutes with that.

Thanks!
