My Freya makes a ratteling noise if I spin the mainrotor around. I know that the noise comes from the clutch-area, as its not present if I remove the engine/clutch assy. The bearings seems fine, not notchy at all.

Cant it be the sound from maingear and piniongear?
Engine not to high up, putting pressure on the bearings above and the o-ring between the clutch and the bell?
Have you checked the the lower of the 2 bearings above the pinion is smooth?
If this becomes worn the bell can rattle.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I was just asking if it's new because I noticed on a couple of mine the original plastic main gear seemed to make an odd sound until it was flown a bit. I don't know that I'd call it a rattle but it was odd.

Well, then you have your work cut out for you. Start replacing components in the area in which you know is a problem. Eventually it will go away, if you cannot trouble shoot it to the exact component. It may not be exact science, but will work for shure!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		i noticed the same problem with my evo. make sure everything is tight. although i applied loctite, my clutch some how loosened itself. and caused a rattling noise.
