Was $169.99 until the change.

At mscomposit-usa.

maybe im going mad, but i think not. i was wondering why other suppliers were priced at 199 and higher.

anyways, is it worth $50 more than the incoming shogun v2 with belt drive?

in your opinion?

is it at least as good as the latest trex?...

I think it was the Hornet 2 that was $169 the X3D has always been about $200.

My experience with Shogun's, say's the Hornet will be better than the Gun with a belt drive, I had one, it still sucked! As soon as I went to the belt it would find new and exciting way's to break on me, that thing was a piece of garbage, only fit for those stupid morons at Hobby People to sell. Damn, I hate Hobby People!!!!

My two cents..

Just finished beating my X3d in the wind again...Cyclones, short tail slides, backwards loops, death spirals..( This little buggah does COOL death spirals), etc...Point is , I still can't break it! can't say the same for the 'gun, although it can be made to 3d well...Still isnt as stable as the X3d in hover..
Newest ccpm Rex looks very good, but will probably need a 4 cell lipo setup to get the most out of it...Hornet is the king rigt now for my money if you want a simple micro that works well straight out of the box...

Added plus is that we fly our foamies on the same packs we use for the Hornet.

ok couldnt stand it anymore....bought the x3d.

FWIW though, the new CCPM Rex does 3d straight out of the box on 3s with plenty of power even with the ''stock'' align motor.

But for mine, i hate any electric that draws big amps for a 3s..i.e. high teens or over 20.

it means that the batteries needed are the large 3s type (i.e. over 2000mah) and need to do at least 10C (or 6 minutes flight at WOT) to fly them.

20C is a great marketting tool...i wish they included the phrase (will fly your machine for 3 whole minutes at 20C).

it was like that when i got here....

fwiw..

I'm running the MrC 320 outrunner, supposedly similar to Axi 2208/20..
Has more than adequate power, and is easy on the speed controller and the tp 1320 pack...amps ar around 8-10 as far as I can guess by power removed vs flight time...

Finally got to having too much fun. went in in idle up...total damage is a canopy (which could be fixed, but I'm too anal..), a bell hiller mixer, and a main gear....This is a tough little heli also!

Drdot, you and I had about the same damaged from our crashes. Tough birds, but fun. Changing over to a Axi motor. Not having much luck with the MS plastic pinion gears on a Hacker motor.
