HELP ME SHELLDUDE

I did it anyway I bought the 3D PRO what a pain.
century 400A motor
18a/25a esc
GWS PG-03 GYRO
FUTABA 6ch radio
I finally got it all working the instuctions are just poor.My gyro won't work right,at about half throttle it goes in to a spin I can't get it rightand I just don't know what to do.The radio has 2 channels for it rudder and gyro sensetivity ch 4&5. Do I have to use both? I'm only using ch4 the rudder that's where I plugged the gyro it seems to work ok until it starts to come off the ground then it starts spinning .

PLEASE HELP ME
I KNOW YOU TOLD ME NOT TO DO IT

lol... your tail servo should plug into the gyro. The gyro then plugs into channel 4 on your receiver. If your gyro has remote gain then that plugs into channel 5.

You'll probably need to adjust the gain/sensitivity on the gyro. It's also fairly important to get the tail mechanically centered.

Isn't the 3D Pro an E-flight heli? I might be confusing the makes/models.

SHELLDUDE

Thank you
The heli is a Century 3D PRO.I already had it like you said so I will recheck the tail. The radio has GYRO on it and it is not on should it be?I really don't understand the mixing and I can't find a set up for it in this site. The manual says the servos should be 90% at center of throttle is this right?

Hi binky,

Century has been known to make decent stuff... far better than Walkera. I guess things get whacky though if you're trying to put Walkera components in it.

You'd be best served by finding someone in your area to help you out. At least initially, having an expert available to me locally, helped tremendously, and saved me quite a bit of cash.

Your Local Hobby Shop should be able to point you in the right direction. Also, AMA (www.modelaircraft.org) has a Club locator form that you could also use.

Very stable Walkera #36

Hello everyone,

I've been flying micro helis for 3 years now and the last one I purchased is a Walkera #36. Let me tell you that is the most stable and best flying heli that I ever had. As with all my helis I peformed my usual setup on it and it flew very well out of the box with the brushed setup. It came with the wk-6000 gyro with holding lock and it really holds like a rock. I flies circuits very well and the pirouttes are very stable too, also it hovers like a rock. Everything is stock except for the canopy wich is a lexan bergen and the carbon main blades. I flies for about 6 mins with the stock 12v 650mah battery. I know that everybody hates Walkera helis but I guess that with the #36 they got better. I think that if you set it up correctly (as with all helis) you can get a very good and cheap flying helicopter. I will post some pics and a video anytime soon. If you have any questions please let me know.

Best regards to all.

Read more reviews of this helicopter.

I bought a Walker 35 and it has been nothing but trouble. It certainly isn't even close to flyable out of the box. The tail rotor gear stripped almost immediately. The battery started on fire, yes, just by pushing it in back into the heli. I never got this thing off the ground. I am looking into a TREX which seems to have gotten some good reviews for an electric heli.

RX shuts off at half throttle?

Hi....Another newbie here
I just bought a Walkera z400....used. The man said it was ready to fly. Nada...anyway I went through the process of checking all the screws and pitch and such, then I took it outside to try a hover in normal mode...at about half throttle it seemed to start to get light on the skids then the RX just shut off..I have checked all the servos and made sure they were all centered...and the gyro seems to work ok...lights up and flicking the tail changes pitch on the tail.
Also I tried it bypassing the gyro...I got the same results..has anyone experienced this? Is my RX burning out?

Tcko, what do you mean by "the rx shuts off"? Do the servos still move with stick movement and just the motor shuts down? If so then the battery is not fully charged or it is no good.

Walkera 35 z400

Hi Hueyman....it took me a sec to figure out how to reply
When I throttle to about halfway the complete system shuts off on the heli....no light on the receiver ....nothing.
Since I am new at this and it is a used heli, I'm thinking it's either some kind of safety thing in the receiver or maybe transmitter is going out.....and being the walkera 35 those parts are getting hard to find.
I am thinking about just replacing the trans and rx with something else that is readily available and compatible.
Do you have any suggestions? Since it is an inexpensive heli I don't want to spend a lot for the gear.

P.S. The battery is fully charged and I can reset the heli by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Walkera 35 brushless?

I've narrowed the system shutting off at half throttle to the esc which is integrated in the rx-602 receiver.
I have a question for anyone in the know...If I buy a brushless motor and esc 30a...can I still use the rx-602 and will it's esc be bypassed if i install those parts?
Thanks to who can answer this for me.

P.S. I did a voltage test as I throttled up and the li-po battery only dropped to 10.5 volts...so I believe the esc is faulty.
