Ok need info what happens when helo comes un-phased, How dos it react? You may read my post on my lasts crash I don’t think it was the wind maybe radio butt I was able to turn it off when it hit the ground. Butt what I was thinking is that it came un-phased which would explain the left roll when I was pushing right which made me think Radio lock out. I did not look at things before I stated to tearing it apart the tears were in my eyes,

It's not probable to have a 180 degree phase shift mechanically. It would be much more possible if you experienced a 90 degree shift (i.e. rolls when inputting fore/aft pitch cyclics).

Was your headspeed low at the time? Did you have a blade-stall or near blade-stall condition?

The Evo can get the woof'n'poofs if the blade speed decays too much. I've had this happen twice now, and the symptoms look like a drastic cyclic wobble. If you keep your head, lay OFF the cyclics and back off on pitch it'll stabilize by itself. However, if you panic and start banging the cyclics you'll just aggravate the situation and end up in a crash.

For the most part I'm very happy with the Evo design. The model flies very well and is both stable and responsive. However I've been flying Kyosho models with TRAILING EDGE control for years and NEVER had a case of the woofs on those. Even if this only happens in blade-stall situations I'm not exactly thrilled. I guess all designs have their weak points and I do hope there's an engineering solution to this issue.

when the phasing goes out, things can get squirrely very fast! I had an EVO do it to me a bit and it was weird and scary. I was doing consecutive loops with piro's a the top and all of a sudden it kept rolling out on it's own. I landed and found that the radius block was slipping.

Also had it happen on Shuttle + in a Hughes 500 body - just doing slow scale stuff, but felt really really weird.

If the Radius block shifted quickly on an Xspec it could have gone over really quick. Did you find the radius block loose post crash? If you did it was probably the cause, I have never seen one move after a crash before.

Good luck - and hope everything works out next time!
