Has anybody tried flipping the tail servo so the arm is inside the frame, putting the control rod straight in line with the rudder control arm? Just curious if there is clearance problems.

Mine's been that way since day one. You can then use a carbon rod as the pushrod and eliminate a bunch of the guides, all of which results in a much smoother operation. Just remember to check the direction of the servo movement, since flipping it will cause a reversal in it's direction of travel.

I have mine that way also with no problems at all. Go for it, I'm much happier with the stright pushrod alignment.
