I did programmed the Kontronik Jazz successfully, thanks to you all.

BUT, when I spooled up the heli, fixed to a heli stand which allows spins, the heli just continuously spin to the left (conterclockwise viewing from the top). If I applied the full right rudder, it would slow down spinning. I am pretty sure that I have set the 401 gyro correctly.

This as if the tail rotor is not spinning fast enough to counter-act the main rotor. I suspect that the tail boom is not pushed in far enough so that the front end of the rigid drive is not fully engaged with the tail drive coupling. I could hear the slipping clicks when I turn the main gear and see the conical tail drive gear turns with the main gear but the tail is not turning.

I have pushed the boom in as far as I could, if I have to push further in, I may have to use a hammer!

Any trick in doing this?

Thanks,

Sebo

Make sure the pinion is fully engaged horizontally, any chance your bearing block is installed backwards?

Once in, press it downwards into the crown gear.

Hopefully you did not damage the crown gear, if teeth are stripped, change it out.

keepin' it real

Not sure which version you are building but the pro LE uses some small rubber bungs in the tail drive that are vital.

Yes, I had read that link and worry about those rubber thingies, because I don't remember whether I had those on and I can't find them in the remaining bags.

I will have to remove the boom and examine and re-install it again.

No, the gears are not stripped, fortunately.

I think somehow the rigid tail drive is not fully engaged with the tail drive coupling in the front.

We'll see.

You probably noticed this but if not... Make sure the slot in the front end of the boom is properly lined up with the raised area in the boom mount part.

Yes, what JoeR said. Mine were not engaging properly either until I pushed the tail boom far enough forward, one really needs to get the slot lined up with the raised area to be able to push the boom further in. I missed it on the couple first tries...
