Hello.

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what the diameter is of the starting shaft on the EVO ? 5mm like a Venture or Raptor ?

Reason I'm asking is I want to be able to use the same starter as my fury and want to know if the PD1 adapter will fit the EVO ? ( and I haven't got the evo kit yet )

Thanks !

Are you sure it's 5mm ? The reason I question this is because I need to purchase a one way starter shaft for my Evo and I was also wondering what size it is. I have a starter shaft that I use on my ZXX thats 6mm and it also fits the Evo starter cup. I'm thinking that the shaft that the cup fits on is 5mm and the starter cup is actually 6mm.

Maybe someone can clarify this question before I go and purchase the incorrect starter shaft for my Evo. I was looking at the Century reversible one way shaft that's around $40.

Thanks......

G Dog,
you can use the 6 mm hex starter shaFT for evo

however the shaft running from clutch bell to starter "cup" is 5mm.

The "shaft" from the clutch to EVOs start adapter is a 5mm shaft.

The starter adapter presents a 6mm Hex socket, making it compatible with a 6mm "starter shaft" (i.e. the thing attached to your starter motor).

Rosti........

the hex cup is 6mm, or the shaft itself is ??

Either way, I already bought a MinAir 5mm adapter to allow me to start an Evo ( MAYBE ??) with the flex starter I use on my fury.

I guess if it is 6mm, hopefully it is long enough to take the flex starter..??? If not, I guess I'll still be taking 2 starters to the field until I can order the other adapter.
