The Hawk 30, I, II, and III all had the single center tail brace system.

They went to the double tail boom strut supports (along with a large number of other important changes (e.g.a 10mm mainshaft that was longer for more pitch range, the hex start instead of the cone etc.)

The Hawk Pro today is the same as before...except a lot less money in Canada due to the current exchange rate.

He is talking about he Hawk Pro being the same as when it first came out. He is not talking about the Hawk I compared to the Pro. Dont know of any changes in the Hawk Pro since it came out.

I am pretty sure that the original HAWK PRO came with the damper bushings - it was one of the items included that made a major difference in its' inverted and 3D capabibility as it got rid of the previous "feathering spindle float".

This "float" made it softer in the collective for training but made it harder to set for 3D or inverted.

hawk sport - advice

hey guys, i'm thinking of picking up a used hawk sport from the for/sale section and wanted some advice before i make the leap. so i have a couple questions since this will be my first nitro bird...stepping up from the t-rex 450.
-are spare parts readily available for this bird? i'm assuming all the hawk pro parts will work on the sport right?
-i read that this bird is pretty easy to work on, i have only ever set up ccpm on my dx7. will setting up the mpm on this bird be easy too?
-should i just look to pickup a hawk pro? would that save me considerable hassle in parts/upgrades or anything?
-if there are any other tips or things to consider that you could point out, it would be much appreciated as well.

so far i am up to learning nose-in inverted hover. and i like sport-flying type of flying. i'll probably get into more 3d type stuff wayy later on. i'm a big believer in having the right bird for your skill level, and that's why i feel the hawk is good for me for now. thanks in advace.
best,
ed

me, I would just buy a new H-Pro, cause the Pro comes with about $90 in upgrades, the Torque Tube alone that comes with the Pro is worth it !!,

yes a Hawk would make you a good first glow heli, or 2nd heli, they just simply hold up great and fly great, checkout the link,,

Is this a Century clone?

I want to get a .30 heli, but I wasn't sure if this was like the Century Hawk .30 (interchangable parts)

So it isn't as good as a Century Hawk Pro?

Also, I can get a good new Hawk pro running for

286 kit+engine
50 reciever
130 gyro+servo
20x4 servos
10 Hex adapter for drill
30 fuel pump
5 glow ignitor

591 dollars

add nitro and thats a RTF heli

Off course, I spent about 1600 on my 450, and thats a SMALLER heli, thats just crazy, though it would have been about 1300 roughly if I already had the radio...

You really can exclude the cost on a nitro heli, I mean, a 600E battery is some 200 dollars, and it takes 30-50 minutes to charge, when nitro, you just make the pump purr, put the starter shaft in and the glow ignitor in, press the starter, and URRRRRRRRR the engines alive. LOL its unlimited flight time!

When you say "flybarless" do you mean it comes with one of the electronic/gyro systems needed for a flybarless system?

If not then one would have to add the flybar system back on it for it to fly properly.
