My Posts This: Topic Forum | crazy crash this a.m. - flying inverted about 20ft above and the tail blade grips decided to jump ship! spinned down to a crash with a slight angle.
i get home from work early to rebuild.
replaced:
tailboom, tailpitch slider, tail blades/grips, seesaw arms (6th set), blades & landing gear.
spin-up to test, in the air.. tail wag!!!!
replaced:
main shaft, tail belt, main gear, main blades (just in case)
checked:
paddle/flybar straightness, main blade/flybar tracking, tail control arm action, tail pitch slider action, spin-up w/o main blades (no wag at any rpm), tail belt tightness (loose), tail drive gear and still wag...
after the crash there was a crack in the front part of the frame near the main shaft holder on one side but i don't think this could cause the wag, do you?
gyro's a gy240, has anyone ever seen one of these "go bad"?
any-who... if you have any ideas lemme know.. i'm starting to get frustrated that i can't find it...
