Quick is currently in the process of redoing most of their kits. I know the outdoo, sweet 16, little quicky etc have all gotten redesigned as well as new instruction manuals, new kit packaging etc.

My point in my earlier post was to allow the manufacturer to work with the problems before donating the machine to the local land fill, let's face it that's a little extreme.

I have read a lot of posts from pilots that really like the way the quicks fly and the quality therin so they can't all be junk. At any rate, I'm going to give one of the new Sweet 16 electrics a spin when they have them ready. Lets face it, you can't beat the price for an all carbon and metal machine and the parts are cheap too.

I was looking in to a Quick for a while until I visted the local heli club this weekend. All the long time pilots stated they were fairly poor quality and should be avoided.

The instructions sent are nothing like the actual recieved though

Come again?

You seem to be saying that the instructions morphed in transit. D:
My instructions, the same ones as in the link posted by Alexander, also
came on a cd with the kit, and the cd is a cheap CD-R,but it didn't cause me any grief.

Isnt that what this forum is for?

To vent, get info and share some RC HELI facts?Theres always a couple of guys that have to get on a post and badger or talk crap!Just let the guy express his opinion already.Like it or not!If you dont agree then just hit the back arrow and go onto another topic.I have flown 4 quicks.2 quick 60's(a procarbon and a standered)quick 46 and a quickie.I owen these helis.in my opinion great heli with a really bad rep.HHI has brought this bad rep on this fine heli!there were problems with there kits. And there were problems with there instructions at least the ones from HHI.Yo guys in the uk have a much better distributer from what ive heard and seen in other posts.

My whole point was dont slam a guy for wanting to VENT about his bad experience with a perticular heli or product.Hell I like to hear that somebody has ballls enought to KIll somehting they just spent 500
bucks on.Its his cash and his topic. If you dont like it just dont read it!

OK, kinda heated debate going on here. Here's my take (as a Quick 60 pro owner - not a neighbour, sisters dog or anyome else !)

I bought a Quick 60 Pro about 2 years ago - yeah from HHI. had a few build issues, bearings didn't fit in the frames without the assistance of a Dremmell, tail blades didn't fit in the holders etc.... nothing real big. The PDF manual was pretty good, yeah, could have done with a few more closeup's but how many heli's come with an electronic instruction manual ?

Well, i've been through afew gallons on my Nexus 30 and now play around with a T-Rex 450x 'lectric (lots of fun without the nitro hassles) and the '60 is 99% built. Despite the warnings of imminent death by one of this post's contributors, i'm close to giving the Quick 60 a run - will make sure the only head that will be lost is mine !

Sure looks like a well assembled aircraft, will post what happenened when it took to the air....

After all this time , my Q60 won't head for the trash can until it proves it deserves it.

Have heard a lot over the years on forums about the whole Quick - HHI - Irwin issue, i'll reserve comment until the the thing is airborne..

If you don't own one either, what makes your opinion any more valuable than the one from somebody that actually owns a Quick.
I've been into helis since 85. Since I'm a .gov employee, I have a lot of time to read about helis. Over all the years I've heard 95% bad and 5% good about HHI/TSK/Quick. So if a newbie says the Q60 sucks, there is a damn good chance he has a valid point. No, you should not take one post and permanently form a perception of a manufacturer. But if you have a little sense, you note this, do lots more research and then come to a conclusion - good or bad.
I did the research and I don't own, nor plan to own, a HHI-TSK or Quick.

What's so sad about this thread......is a Quick heli, and an HHI Quick heli, are NOT the same birds. It ashamed that Quick has recieved a bad rep on the dealings of their representative in the US. With HHI, I kinda think it is hit and miss on the quality of their helis in the past. HHI is now trying to rectify the problems they were having. I have a Quick from HHI, and it has been an excellent bird.
There are different sources for "Quick" helis........and they are not the same heli, even though the name is.

And Fritz is telling you that the post is probably quite valid.

Dunno how long you've been around internet forums, but there is a company and the individual who owns it that are the undisputed #1 champions of customer DISsatisfaction. Three guesses as to which one...

Some folks have good luck with the product. That's fortunate for them. They win twice; their purchase works like it is supposed to, and they don't get told "We've never heard of that problem before (therefore, YOU must have done something wrong)". Some of the stuff this company sells is actually decent product. A lot of it is cheap Chinese rip-offs produced to a price point.

If you're a gambling man, put your money where your mouth is (a lot of us have, to our eventual dismay) and buy something from these guys. Something big ticket. Nobody who has been around here longer than a month will give you any odds, either way, on whether you will be happy or unhappy with your purchase.
