I'm taking apart my t-rex to convert to CCPM and dye black.

I noticed the play in the main blades is primarily in the blade grip bearings.

I tried put 3 bearings in one grip to see if it makes a difference. Big difference ! I'd guess over 1/2 the play gone. After some thought it occured to me the spacing of the bearings was the key factor.

If a bushing (thick shouldered - (g forces)) was used to space out the bearings it would have the same effect. (or use the center out of a stock bearing when replacing with new or better bearings).

All that would be needed is a longer spindle. Is a spindle a hard to make item ? or is this worth the effort ?
