The shipping from Vietnam doesn't seem to take but a day or two longer than if I had ordered it from just across the country. Not too shabby!

Yes, to be able to serve the ever growing demand for this hobby, we have moved to Vietnam to set up a much bigger factory about a year ago. Everything is shipped from Vietnam and the estimate delivery time is clearly stated when customers choose the shipping option. We understand it takes longer to deliver from Asia than to Canada. That's why we have worked closely with our distributors in many countries to support customers. Please check out our distributors and we strongly recommend customers to pick up our parts at dealers nearby for cheaper shipping cost and faster delivery time. We have 8 dealers in the states and 5 of them are in California. These dealers are just driving distance from you. However, we are always here to support you whereever you purchase the parts from.

Best regards,

Andy Le

To MicroHeli

Other then HeliHobby in Van Nuys and R/C Direct in San Diego, who are your otherr dealers ?? R/C Country in Sacramento ??

And my comments about Viet Nam were not meant to indicate displeasure but surprise as in unexpected... expected shipment from Canada, product arrived fine and within expected delivery time frame...

Hi Doug,

Thank you.

All of our distributors are very very helpful in supporting customers and we are very glad to be in good hands.

In the states, these are the best ones you can depend on. I was in the east coast so not too familiar with the west coast locations but here is the random list

www.deeteeenterprises.com in Tualatin, OR
www.eflighpacks.com in San Jose, CA
www.fxaeromodels.com in Hillsborough, CA
www.grandrc.com in Mountain View, CA
www.heliaddict.com in Pickstown, SD
www.hifirc.com in San Clemente, CA
www.modefosheli.com in LittleRock, CA
www.rchover.com in Foxborough, MA

We have not established a business relationship with RC Direct yet. About Helihobby , I am sorry, but we haven't thought of placing our eggs into the snake cave.

MicroHeli fatory/distributor in VietNam

Humm, very interesting. I did not know that my country have such a factory for microheli stuff. I will check it out when I'm going back there for vacation. now I can bring me a microheli to fly over there. I'm no longer have to worry about not getting a replacement part .
and yeah if I ever found such a place without people so that I can fly over there.

Jgiang,

There is increasing interest into this helicopter hobby in the south and most of them play with larger size helicopters and they play quite well. Microhelicopters are not popular yet. Many overseas and foreigners bring their helis to join the group as well. They play on Sundays at the specific field outside of the city. There are many huge factories manufacturing airplanes to export and it's known that Vietnam accounts for huge percentage of market for airplane. The chance you pick up an airplane that is manufactured in Vietnam is very huge.

If you have a chance to come back, we can get together at the flying-field. It is just like a fashion trend now for people here since only high class and rich people have time to play and afford a helicopter and afford to crash it. Another thing is most of them need a car to bring their heli to the flying field. And the car price here is 2.5 times more expensive than in the states! A little Toyota here will almost the same price as a Mercedes there. While the average wage here is only 1/20 of the average wage in the states! So if you can afford the car, afford to fly heli, you are looked up as high class people and I see there is a trend that people want to be recognized this way.

Have fun

Andy Le

If the factory moved to a place where labour is cheeper why do the parts still cost twice as much? I'm feeling a little robbed.

Labor is not a main issue. All of our main people are from Canada and USA. All of our machines are from USA, all of our aluminum, hardwares are from USA. It even costs more to do business in a foreign country with the logistics come on both sides of the world. We chose Vietnam as our place for business development not for its inexpensive labor, rather we come to establish a team of design with talent people over there to provide more parts to everyone. Pick up anything from the market, Sony, Bose,... they are all made in China and the price will not be cheaper. All the cars in our country are 2.5 times more expensive than in the states and they are made in Vietnam! Everything comes to our country got taxed big time. I bought some electric stuffs for my TREX last week for 300usd from deetee and I am ready to come to fedex to pay 120usd for the tax to get my stuffs out. All of my hardware, aluminum are all taxed big time. As you see all of our hardware are used with Imperial units so they have to come from the states not in the far east. Our price was reduced 20% when we just moved to Vietnam. Pricing goes with its quality and don't feel you get robbed because nobody robs you if you get twice the quality and lower price.

Hey Andy,

Praises to you and your design team. The last time I was in Vietnam was the Spring of 1972. It was during the Easter Offensive and it was not a good time for me and my comrades. I lost a lot of friends in that country and I am hoping one day to return and see the Progress Vietnam has made. I doubt there are many of the participants in this forum that are old enough to remember Vietnam in the 60's and 70's but may have read about it in History books.

Move forward and continue to grow and prosper by supplying us with parts for our expensive toys.

BJ.

I see what you mean, what I should ask is how can other companys make the same kinds of parts for half the price? I am a zoom flyer, but am having a hard time understanding why I pay so much more for parts. Is the type of plastic different?

Microheli

I can not speak too highly about Microheli. I have had excellent service from them, I too ordered from, ( i thought ), Canada, but was pleasantly surprised to find my bits came from Ho Chi Min City. IN 5 DAYS , Yet it takes more than that for parts to come from another supplier of heli parts, in Hinckley, just15 miles away. Keep up the good work Microheli ! Oh, their CNC machined parts are the best ive ever seen. Cheers. Ray.

yeah, that is insame on the price of the car.
Yes, we have car as we are in the shipping business with FedEx, DHL, Etc...so we require to have some transportation. we have our own driver. We have 2 Mercedes van and 1 car so that we can travel to Bien Hoa and remote region in vietnam to pickup shipment.

Beside shipping business we also do CNC part. we can manufacture any CNC part for our customer.

if you need a hand with shipping or a vendor to manufacture your CNC parts then let me know.

All,

even though labor is cheap in VietNam but it cost to operate a business as there is a lot of expenses. Parts can recieve very quickly over there as in Vietnam it operated 24/7. there is no weekend over there. It is a very hard earm money to operate over there.

James
