I don't know how much the stock one weights. I think the elimination of the pitch control arm and aileron linkages will go to offset the extra weight.

I will get one and see if I can mill off some fat.

The price of $3 US as mentionned in the post thread link is definitely overly-optimistic

. The stock swash sells for $10.50 US - the new metal ones will probably be at least $30 US; I guess we'll just have to see what the price is when the part becomes available.

thier CCPM heli must be very close then, otherwise there is no point selling a CCPM only swash....

Yes. Also, judging by the fact that their swash has an anti-rotation pin, we can probably have a guess at the layout of their frame and servos.

I reckon that it will be similar to the CCPM mods that slot the servos directly into holes in the frame, rather than like yours and building a structure on the front then using the A arm to stop the swash from rotating. (I prefer your solution 3De)

Shame that half of any potential weight saving has been used up by making the swash out of lead, but it certainly LOOKS nice!

Martinic, he did not say $3, but said $3x which means you can substitute X for any number, in this case it turns out to be 2.40 (price on Align website is $32.40)

This is a good sign that Align keep upgrade Trex part. I guess in a few months Align may annouce CCPM mainframe for Trex then we can buy it and hopefully it must not expensive.

Thanks dnam - my mistake - I was reading too quickly.

$32.40 is an interesting price point. So assuming their CCPM frame is close to the price of the stock model we could be looking at ~$50 for a CCPM conversion kit including frame, swash and new servo links. It will be revealing to see how it compares to the higher-end MH swash and TBA CF frame. Maybe by then we'll have an optimal motor combination to go with it...

Alright, a bling part we can afford

$32 buck for a $165 kit comes too....ahhhh about 19% while the others at $85 are in the $50% range.

Wow. While I machine for fun and agree that making a swash is tough, half the price of the entire kit for one part is a lot, IMO. I guess it really comes down to one thing, what is the public willling to pay. Me, the $32 bucks heheee.

the $80 one weights 12g. it might be worth it for someone really tries to lose the weight. I will take the $32 one, as long as it is godd quality.
