My Posts This: Topic Forum | dnam, for the first flight, with stock adjusting cyclic rods, pitch wasn't symetrical. got more positive and less negative so it couldn't stay inverted. Hovering on that set up, I did not get enough throttle and too much pitch and the Phx got really hot !
now i have fixed the rods to the right dimension, every thing is perfectly set. I got full positive and full negative pitch. I didnt change anything on the throttle curve so I got more RPM than before and the motor is less on charge by rotor. Phx get warm but not as hot as before.
I also lubricated the swash bearing using WD40 because it wasn't totally free. now the motor got plenty of power.
the next thing i'll fix will be the little shaft next to the rotor (the one with a pulley and a pinion + 2 bearings) beacause this shaft is not properly mounted, it's a design mistake. one of the two bearing HAS TO be free on the shaft, if not the system is hyperstatic and the shaft is too hard to turn. I saw that by disassembling rotor head and try to turn the rotor shaft manualy, to hard ! a lot of power is eaten by these two bearings.
I'll post some pics of my mods/improvements as soon as i get some parts back because i know my english is not perfect and I think that my way to explain things is not so easy to understand ... really sorry for that
Thanks all for sharing your thought about my heli
