Along with flipping the cyclitic head.....should we also extend the pitch arm that is atached to the blade gripper? I have heard that extending it so the center of the ball is in the center of the main shaft, you will get a better response from the blades. Any truth to that or just flip the head and forget about it.

That's the "zero delta" mod discussed in this thread.

Works for me!
I got all the bits to stretch my E and have been very disappointed with the problems I have been having. I just could not get the tracking right.

Upon spooling up I would observe which blade was low and which one high and correct accordingly. All of a sudden they would go out of track again, violently by maybe 3 inches or so. No matter what I tried, nothing worked. I am using Quick 475mm blades.

The guy at the local hobby shop just finished putting his Voyager E together and did the stretch right from the start. He is using the exact same setup as me, only difference being that his is new and mine 18 months old. The exact same problems were experienced on his. Uncontrolable tracking. His thoughts were that the cord C.G of the blades were too far back. After trying everything he went back to a standard E. I was determined to make it work after reading so many other success stories. As a last attempt, I flipped the head to see what difference it would make. Success at last. Tracking and wobbling isues are now a thing of the past. The machine flies beautifully. My only thoughts now are, did I cure the problem or just relieve the symptoms?. Any thoughts?

Regards, Alan

Flipped head

Everyone MUST do the flipped head mod! It works. If you dont like it you can change it back. My heli now flys with greater authority and does not waddle around like it used to. A long time ago in a distant past, 3D flyers used this same trick on the V1 Raptors when they first came out.
I intended fitting the Quick 15 metal head to my Voyager to stop the waddle but since the flip i dont need to. I still might fit the Quick head just to see what happens.

Anyway, good luck everyone!
