Laurens, it might be worth it to buy it from rcheliworks and have them ship it. Not sure what you guys have to pay on import taxes and such, but onsidering how low the dollar is against just about everything now, it could easily work out in your favor.

Yes I love the low dollar but our customs has found something on that. 19% custom taxes, 14% on something else, and then taxes on that 14% tax

Just started back to classes , so all the preparation got me a little bit behind. I should be finishing up tonight, as I finally have some free time. I ended up grinding a little bit of the fan shroud away as I couldn't bring myself to harm the Toki's wonderful heatsink. A few other things are going on as well, so it's dragged out. The upgrade package is.... Toki 40 w/ pipe, new paddles, tail blades, header tank, carbon blades, the HG tray stiffener, and 3 Hitec HS-5475 Digitals on the eCCPM.

I'll do my best to post pictures of the completed package in the next few days.

Well it's almost done, a few odds and ends to fix up, and I've got to get the other one ready. Trying to sink the hook into a plank buddy of mine, so we'll see how that goes!

The Toki 40, this thing is pretty big compared to the OS32 that came out. And it has some serious compression going.

The pipe is frickin huge! It's the length of the whole main frame assembly!!! Should be interesting to see how it'll fit under the canopy, or if I'm going to have to slice it up a tad more.

And my new trio of HS-5475 Digitals with the Kyosho HG frame stiffener, don't know if it'll make a difference or not. Main reason was they were cheap, and I don't know if the HS-325's I had would be up to the extra power and thrashing that the Toki 40 with carbons is going to do. We'll see!

Tentative test flight is Saturday morning, so we shall see how it goes!

Ha ha! Well I started thesising this semester, so I've been a tad short on time. But I said screw the homework and went out to fire up the new Toki 40!

Wow! This thing is a beast! It's currently at 4 1/4 turns out as per the manual, and it's slobbering rich, and I could easily hold my finger on the back plate as long as I wanted. Burned through half the main tank in 7 or 8 minutes at the most. And that was mostly hovering or just spooling the blades on the ground without pitch. And the power...oooh. Well, I'm going to be gentle for a couple of tanks, but I had to blip it once. Okay, twice. Geez, that thing shot upwards! Whee!

Stopped at one tank though cause some where along it's life on the shelf for a few weeks *cough* months! *cough*, it picked up a slight vibration. Hopefully I'll have it all sorted by Saturday, and I can give a more detailed flight report.

Well it's been a while, but here's a good update! I've gotten about half a tank through the Toki 40 and it's a beast! I had an unfortunate lean run, when one of my loctited carb screws came out. Fortunately it wasn't lean for long, got a replacement, and everything seems great. It's got way more power than the OS32 and it's still about 1/2-3/4 turns rich! I could lick the crankcase without worry if I wanted to (...but I don't). I think next week I'll start leaning it a little more.

So here's a picture.....

And a link to a quick movie of a flip! It's been going like crazy, and has made the Caliber a true joy to fly. Also I noticed a huge difference from the carbon blades and new paddles, that combined makes this thing flip like crazy!

Oh yea, winds were gusting 15 - 20mph, kinda windy!
A quick flip video..... (~111k)

Another update.....

Toki was running well, although it had started to bog up high and barely hover inverted. A quick inspection with the good old pitch gauge found the problem. Seems when I was tweaking my XTR setup, I forgot which program I was in...

Aside from that, I've started to lean it out more, and it's making really nice power. Only bogs when I try to push ~12-13 degrees through it by accident. Does very well with the normal 10 degrees!

Anyways, got that straightened out, and it worked well afterwards. The new digitals really chew up the flight battery, 4-5 flights is max for the ~2300mah it has.

Did my first low sustained (~ 10ft, low for me ) inverted hovers, and a couple of really long tail slides. The Caliber did really well, and I'm already wishing it was the weekend again!
