Happy New Year To All:

What's the adjustment , or, fix for the HoneyBee II continuing to dash forward and to the left, when off the ground and, when you have run out of aft and right cyclic trim on the stock radio?

Thank you

Roy

With your right stick (cyclic) trims centered, your swashplate should be level. If not, you need to disconnect the servo rods from the swashplate at the ball joints and adjust them to bring your swashplate to a level condition. Be careful not to change the overall height of the swashplate at this point because that will shift your pitch curve. In other words, you may need to lengthen one rod and shorten another as opposed to dramatically lengthening just one rod. Try your hover again but be careful as the heli may respond differently than you're used to.

I flew my Honeybee also last weekend in a hall, and it flew pretty nice, right out of the box
I had to put the tailtrim all the way to the left and it still wants to piro to the right a little bit.
Someone told me that to get rid of the trimming problem i have to put the trim all the way to the right before i connect the Lipo to the helicopter,is that true?

And another thing i noticed is when i piroette to the right it goes smooth, but when i piroette to the left it looks like the tailmotor is "pulsating" ,is this normal or has it got to do with the gain?

Thanks,
Marcel

Daze.

I would stick to a name brank kit. You ,probably like myself, said well it is cheap, it comes already set up, and it looks impressive on the short video. But this thing is a log. The battery is so big and heavy that my toy tank could'nt pull it.

I have ordered stuff on line before, and have had no success with the cheaper stuff. The Hummingbird knock offs are junk, nothing flys like aa original hummingbird, and that is that.

I learned a lesson about knock off stuff, and that is, that is usually mis advertised, and is always compared to its counter part, which it cant hold a candle to.

Basically its like this. All this stuff is made in China. And i just returned from there a few weeks ago. I visited various factories that assemble motorcycles. And believe me, it is much different than going to honda of Japan. But the bikes are cheap, and get the job done. So you have to ask yourself one question. What am i going to expect from this product? And why does the name brand cost so much more? It is all a simple quality issue. Attention to detail. And that is exactly why MS, Century, and the other big hitters dont offer these kind of packages for this small amount of your hard earned cash.

Learn from my mistakes. I still have a hole in my foot from where i stomped my E-Sky honeybee into the turf after 8 hrs of toying with it, and thats no bs.

I bought a collective hummingbird, and must say that i was impressed with it right out of the box. It flew well forward, and backward, and that is the extent of my abilities.

I would buy a Hummingbird collective pitch model, or wait for the new Hummingbird Pro. It is totally kick ars. And after talking to century yesterday, i learned that for under 200.00 you even get a brushless motor and controller with th package. Release date is around January 25th.

Good luck.

Big thanks for your advice oragami. I'm off to look at the Century stuff now...

I already have a Futaba 9CHP (I think I mentioned previously) and would like to use this if possible. What will I need to buy? I have no crystals (?) or a receiver, as I initially bought it for the Reflex XTR simulator with the intention of using it to fly real models in the future. Will I have to buy a specific receiver? As you can tell, I'm a bit out of my depth now

I have a Nitro monster truck, and the engine faffing-about has put me of nitro helis. I want to concentrate on flying and not tuning/tweaking the engine!

Should i be going FP or CP?
