| svoguy2000 Senior Heliman | I am kinda new to this brushless micro heli thing and need a little help. I am running an e-flight 4200 kv motor with an 8 tooth pinion and a jeti esc. The pitch curve I have covered but the throttle curve is a different story. I have not tried 3-d with anything other than a sim so I will be setting up for hovering and forward flight with some loops and rolls. What is the best way to set this thing up so I dont overheat the motor? I have heard it is best to run the motor closer to max rpm and that is what is giving me the problems. | ||

| mapmanufacturer Senior Heliman | Hmmmm you could try 0-80-80-80-80 see what kinda head speed you get and also how hot the motor and controller get. Thats what I run mine at with the align motor and a 13tooth pinion | ||

| motorbikemike Senior Heliman | 80 is a good starting point. I run mine at 100 across in idle 1 and 0 80 across in hover mode
